Also, at the bottom, you’ll find a graphical view known as a treemap representing each file as a rectangle—the bigger the rectangle, the bigger the file on Windows 10. Each rectangle is colored according to the type of file, which can be seen in the list of extensions.

Selecting a rectangle will quickly show you the name of the file and its location.

File Explorer can be used to locate and delete the file that is taking up a lot space. WinDirStat also allows you to right-click a file to get options like copying its path, opening the location of the folder with File Explorer, or Command Prompt. You will even have two options on how to delete it.

Those large files that are on your device can be system files. You can’t usually delete them by clicking the delete button. If you find out it’s a file from your system, make a note and look online for instructions on how to delete it or reduce its file size.

Windows 10 can download a lot of data if it is indexing an Outlook PST file. “Windows.edb” File taking up all drive space. In this case, you should rebuild the index database instead of deleting the file.
