UPDATED 12/11/2023: On Windows 10, you can make the Taskbar fully transparent, but you will need a third-party app, and in this tutorial, I’ll teach how. You get a lot of options to personalize the Taskbar. You can control which items appear in the notification area, disable app badges, and enable semi-transparent material. However, you can’t make the Taskbar fully transparent or use blur to make it look like frosted glass.
Fortunately, you can use third-party tools like “TranslucentTB” to change the Taskbar behavior to make it completely transparent or add blur or acrylic effects.
In this tutorial, I will teach you the steps to make the Taskbar on Windows 10 fully transparent.
[tb]Warning: You’ll be using a third-party application. While the app has been tested and works correctly, understand that using third-party tools can sometimes cause problems. Use it at your own risk. You’ve been warned.[/tbx]
Make Taskbar fully transparent on Windows 10
To make the Taskbar transparent, use these steps:
Click the Get button for the TrasnlucentTB app.
Click the Open button.
Click the Continue button (if applicable).
Click the TrasnlucentTB icon in the System Tray and choose the transparency effect:
- Clear – Shows the Taskbar fully transparent.
- Blur – Shows a frosted glass effect in the Taskbar.
- Acrylic – Shows a semi-transparent effect in the Taskbar.
Once you complete the steps, the Taskbar should now appear fully transparent on Windows 10.
In addition, you can also change the appearance of the Taskbar when opening different elements, such as the Start menu, Search, and Task View.
