Students around the world can download Office 365 for free

Back in 2014, Microsoft announced changes to make it easier for students to check for eligibility to download Office 365 free, if their school is using the product, but it was only available in the United States. Today, the software giant is announcing that students and teachers around the world can check eligibility to download and install Office 365.

In order to check if you’re eligible, you’ll need a valid school email address to complete the sign up. Microsoft is providing two links:

The free Office for students is one benefit the company provide to education and it’s not limited to students only, faculty and staff also qualify for the offer. This means that teachers can also enroll to download the suite of apps.

Office 365 for students includes: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access and Publisher with five licenses to install the apps on PCs and Macs and up to five mobile devices, such as iPad, Android and Windows tablets. Also users will get 1TB of OneDrive storage and Office Online.
