Microsoft’s One Outlook email app for Windows 11 leaked

  • One Outlook email client leaks onto the web.
  • The app currently works for work and education accounts.
  • The One Outlook client is a web app identical to the web version of Outlook.
  • The app features pages to compose emails, change configurations, collect contacts, and create calendar events.

The One Outlook email client has leaked online, giving us an early look at the new experience. Microsoft has been working on a new email client to replace the Mail and Calendar apps on Windows 11 for months. We have seen early previews in the past, but according to Windows Central, it’s not until now that the app appears to be working for work and education accounts.

If you have used Outlook.com in the past, the app will look familiar since it’s identical. However, instead of using it in the web web browser, it’s a standalone application that includes some other additions, such as the ability to personalize the ribbon menu. There are multiple actions you can use in the app’s header. Also, it’s assumed that this client application will also include the option to connect with different email services like Gmail.

Similar to the web version of Outlook, composing an email or creating an event brings up a new window instead of moving to a different page.

Alongside the capability to manage emails, the app will also offer a calendar and people’s page to save your contacts.

It’s unclear when the new email client will be available to users, but since it already works for some types of accounts, at least a public preview will likely release soon.
