Office Mobile brings Dropbox support to Android and improves OneDrive

Following the announcement of Microsoft teaming up with Dropbox to bring Office integration to mobile devices, and after iOS getting updated first, today the cloud storage integration is coming to Office Mobile for Android.

With the latest update of Office, Android users can add Dropbox as an online storage location to save, edit and share Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents — all for free –. Previously, Microsoft required an Office 365 subscription in order to edit and save documents to OneDrive, but now we have a new Microsoft and a lot of things are changing these days.

Making easier and stop having to send documents as email attachments, the latest update of Office for Android also brings improvements to OneDrive offering better sharing. Now you can share files directly through OneDrive and OneDrive for business, by sharing the file link via email.

While Office now offers similar functionalities between iOS and Android, it won’t be until Microsoft ships its touch-optimized version of Office for Windows 10 that we’ll see all three major platform offering a more unified experience across devices.
