How to Sync Lumia Contacts to OneDrive (Outlook, Live.com, Hotmail)
OneDrive is a popular free online (cloud) storage service that allows you to store files of all types and then share them with anyone. If this service is associated with a Microsoft account (Outlook.com, Live.com, Hotmail.com and MSN), you can also synchronize contacts from your WindowsPhone device (NOKIA LUMIA) to it. Below we will explain in detail how to sync Lumia contacts to OneDrive.
What do you need:
1. Windows phone device (Lumia 930/830/640/630/535/530/520, etc…)
2. Microsoft account, the same one you use to sign in to OneDrive. If you don’t have an account yet go to http://www.outlook.com and create one!
2. Activate cellular or Wi-Fi data to synchronize and backup contacts.

Step 1. Go to Settings on your Lumia
Take your Lumia and from the home screen go to “Applications“. Scroll down the page and select the item “Settings“.
Step 2. Add an Account
Select the option “email and accounts” and then click on “Add an account“. This way you can associate your Microsoft account with your WindowsPhone device
Step 3. Log in to your account
Among the various accounts present, click on “Outlook.com“, which refers to all accounts created on Outlook.com, Live.com, Hotmail.com, and MSN. Then enter your email address and password and click LOG IN.
Step 4. Sync Lumia contacts to OneDrive
After logging into your account, a screen will open asking you whether to back up your contacts/messages and other data. Press on “Yes“. Your Lumia’s address book will be copied to OneDrive.
The synchronization of contacts will occur automatically and by then logging into OneDrive with the same account, you will be able to view all the copied information. At this point you can proceed to transfer contacts from Lumia to Android or copy contacts from Lumia to iPhone, or even synchronize contacts between two Lumias.
